Tutorial: Single St Petersburg chain

Goodmorning lovelies,

Here is my gift to you this morning, a simple tutorial on St Petersburg stitch, The versatile stitch comes in a single chain, double chain, and Russian eyelets. Today we will be learning  how to make a single chain into a necklace with a Vee at the middle.

MATERIALS:
1. Size 6 crystal bead in two colours, colour A & B.
2. 0.30 or 0.35 fishing line.
3.  2 Beading Needles.

PROCEDURE:
1. Cut a comfortable fishing line and thread your needles to both ends.
2. To make a vee in the middle of the chain, string your beads in this sequence; 2A + 1B + 2A.

3. Stitch through all the A beads, omitting the B bead in the middle and exit from the the fifth bead, pull snug, make sure they are in the middle of the fishing line.

4. String 2A beads in each of the fishing line, then stitch through all the new beads added with one of the fishing line, making sure the fishing line comes out from the fourth bead added.

5. To start One side of the chain, pick up one of the fishing line,  string 2A beads, and stitch your needle up through 2A bead added at step 4, pull snug.

6. string 1B bead and stitch your needle back through 3A beads in the row, Pull snug.

7. string 1B bead, then stitch your needle up through the two seperate beads A beads added in step 5, pull snug.

8. String 4A beads, then stitch your needle up through the first two beads picked in this step, this four beads will form a square.

9. string 1B bead and stitch your needle back through 3A beads in the row, and pull snug.

10. string 1B bead, then stitch your needle up through the two seperate A beads and pull snug.
11. Repeat from step 8 till you reach your desired length,  for one half of the vee chain .

12. To start the other half, flip your work over and pick up the second fishing line, then repeat from step 5.
