A stop bead is attached to the end of your beading thread prior to beginning the stitch you want make, to prevent the beads from falling off.
It is generally recommended that you use a bead that is totally different in size, shape, and colour, that way, you can identify the stop bead more easily.
1. Thread your bead needle.
2. Pick up the stop bead.
3. Stitch the needle back up through the bead, leaving at least a 6 inch tail.
The fish line would form a loop around the bead.
4. Repeat step 3, at least two more times, to properly lock the bead in place and keep it from moving.
